NHRC Column Head - Anuradhapura

(SKU: LSB1008483) After more than 23 centuries, the ancient kingdom of Anuradhapura, which served as the birthplace of Buddhism, is still a revered destination for pilgrims. Anuradhapura's surrounding regions had been inhabited since 1 000 BC, and by the 5th century BC, the city had grown quickly. The city is regarded as the center of Sri Lanka's Buddhist culture since Mahendra, the son of Emperor Ashoka, introduced Buddhism there in the third century. This traditional replica represents one of the Column Heads from the Anuradhapura kingdom.
