Plants and Seeds
Plants grow from seeds, which contain the genetic blueprint for a new organism. Seeds require the right conditions—water, soil, and sunlight—to germinate. As they develop, plants produce oxygen, food, and habitats, sustaining life on Earth.

Lakpura Hand Lemon Plant (Buddha’s Hand Citron) is a rare and visually striking citrus variety, botanically known as Citrus medica var. sarcodactylis. This small tree or shrub features thorny branches, oblong light-green leaves, and fragrant white flowers tinged with purple. Its most remarkable feature is the fruit—deep yellow and segmented into finger-like extensions that resemble a human hand. Unlike typical citrus fruits, Buddha’s Hand contains no juice or pulp, but its highly aromatic rind and zest are prized for culinary use, flavoring dishes, candies, and liqueurs. The fruit’s fragrance also makes it popular in perfumes and potpourri. Reaching up to 3–4 meters in height, the plant prefers sunny locations, well-drained soil, and protection from frost, making it ideal for warm climates or container gardening.
