The museum is housed within the Sri Lanka Cricket premises at Maitland Place.

Inside, visitors can explore a range of historic memorabilia including trophies, jerseys, photographs, and documents. Notable highlights include the 1996 Cricket World Cup trophy and a Hall of Fame honoring legendary Sri Lankan cricketers. Interactive displays and themed galleries chronicle key moments and achievements in all formats of the game.

The museum attracts cricket fans, students, and tourists eager to understand the cultural and sporting significance of cricket in Sri Lanka. Guided tours offer deeper insights into iconic matches and the personal stories of cricketing heroes who brought pride to the nation.

Open from Monday to Saturday, the museum operates between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Located in central Colombo, it is easily accessible and serves as a meaningful stop for anyone interested in the history, passion, and people behind Sri Lanka’s beloved sport.

About Colombo District

Colombo is the largest city and commercial capital of Sri Lanka. It is located on the west coast of the island and adjacent to Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte, the capital city of Sri Lanka. About Western Province

The Western Province is the most densely populated province of Sri Lanka. It is home to the legislative capital Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte as well to Colombo, the nation's administrative and business center. Western Province is divided into 3 main districts called Colombo (642 km²), Gampaha (1,386.6 km²) and Kalutara (1,606 km²) districts.
